Collection: Kedar Dhondu
Kedar Dhondu’s (born in Goa, India on 01/02/1981) current art practice involves looking back at the history of the region in order to understand issues related to ‘land’. Presently, Kedar digs out these issues which are related with the ‘ownership/ occupancy’ and the authenticity of the rights on the land in today’s time. Kedar’s practice also questions the genuineness of the law system of the region. Ecology and environmental concerns also plays a major role in Kedar’s practice.
Kedar earned BFA from Goa College of Art, Panaji-Goa-India in 2005, and MFA from Sarojini Naidu School of Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Communication, Hyderabad Central University, Hyderabad-India. His works are appeared in Group Shows at Guild Art Gallery in 2007, 2008, Sunaparanta Centre for the Arts, Goa in 2012,2013, 2015-16, ARTRY Gallery, Fort Kochi Kerala in 2015, Gallery Latitude 28, 2015, 2017, Serendipity Festival of Arts, 2016, 2017,2018,2019. He has received award, ‘KAVA4’ by Kashi Art Gallery, Fort Kochi, Kerala – 2008.
