Anuradha Marwah grew up in the midst of picturesque tea plantations in the beautiful state of Assam steeped in colonial era folk lore and lifestyle. It was a world surrounded by nature, and stories of wild animal encounters. While the town kids had puppies and kittens as pets, she had the resident monkeys, jackals or the occasional tiger or leopard and at the Club Christmas party Santa came riding an elephant. And hence it was early in her childhood when she developed a strong fascination for nature and wildlife.
After completing her education Anuradha pursued her career in marketing working at organisations like NIIT Ltd and Microsoft. But as the lure of being out in the wilderness, paled in comparison to a corporate career, and she decided to give it up pursue wildlife and nature photography and has been doing so for over 15 yrs now. Her photographs and articles have been published in numerous magazines and books and worked on several esteemed projects. Sher most recent work has been authoring the recently published Official Coffee Table book of Corbett Tiger Reserve, by the Uttarakhand Govt. on India’s and Asia’s 1st National Park.
While she loves to travel and shoot for its simple pleasure and for the joy of being in the moment, her work has also received awards and honorable mentions in national and international photography competitions such as Sanctuary Asia, International Nature Namur- Belgium, Golden Orchid International- New York, National Biodiversity Authority Photography Awards- Govt of India, Network for Certification and Conservation of Forests- India, PEFC International, UNESCO to name a few and she has had her works displayed in Belgium, Helsinki, Moscow , New York etc.
Anuradha, has also served as an Ambassador for Canon India and delivered trainings and seminars to on the subject of Nature and Wildlife photography to eager learners and also at esteemed Govt. Institutes for Forest and Administrative serves.
