Curators Recommendation

The photograph captures a pair of tall pale grey Sarus cranes with a naked deep red head extending down the neck and gazing in the opposite direction. They are found around marshes and shallow wetlands. The Sarus crane is the tallest flying bird in the world. Known to mate for life, they are regarded as symbols of marital fidelity.
